It all started with 5 people in a room
Youth from around the globe gathered in USM ( Universiti Sains Malaysia ) on 28th of November to share their ideas and contribute to peace building in their local community. Everyone is required to come up with an action plan; a project that will bring benefits people around them and contribute to peace building. Therefore, we, students from Penang, Malaysia see a serious problem among youth today; they lack creativity and problem solving skills. It is a shame that potential young students are being turned into robots that only care about grades and academic excellence.
We want to change this
Project Outliers is a collaborative effort by 5 peoples and we hope more people can join us. The five peoples are:
Justin Thong, Joel Thum, Devia Nathan, Barnabas Yeoh, Ray Tan Don't worry you will get to know each of them later on through each individual post. We believe with the act of sharing interesting articles and links to other youth, we can possibly influence them to explore outside the classroom and expand their horizon.
What's our vision ?
We hope to make Malaysian realize their very own potential and pick up skills and attitudes that are not taught in the classroom. The very foundation of this project is to create more fellow Outliers. People who dare to dream, chart their own course, breaking the norm and take charge of their life.

Our direction for this project is very simple, doing stuff that we like and share it with others. We don't want to restrict ourselves to educational content. As long as each post is unique and interesting, we will continue to share links of random genres. You never know how things that don't share a common ground can come in handy. Our future actions including:
1. Publish a post every week
2. Setup a Facebook fan page
3. Create a video to introduce our project
4. Sharing some engaging and beneficial games
5. Create our own creative content to be shared with everyone
