Unleashing Altitudes

Exams week are almost over for most of us. Its March and the usual school tests have just begun. For me, it's over and i'm super happy about it. In conjuction with today's last subject test, STPM results were out and the tension in the school wasn't very delightful.
I learned a huge life lesson today with my fellow school mates. Seeing the faces of candidates, getting their results and obtaining the best, and the worst ever results was trembling. I managed to talk to one of my senior whom i always laughed with last year. However, the sympathetic smile I saw when they did not achieved their goal was intimidating me. I asked myself, what would I do if i never achieved what i set my eyes on?
All these years, i never experience true regret besides the usual social demographcis that every adolescent will experience. The regrets I am saying are regrets that will put your entire life to a roadblock, where you don't know how to get through it.

What I've learnt today :
1. Think long term. Although there are many tests on the way to your final goal, prepare yourself for the biggest obstacle at the end of the road. It'll take a lot of strength to pass through the mini bumps but always remember there's a treacherous mountain roadway at the end.

2. Prepare to fail. Speaking to a few people in business, I realised it is never wrong to fail but of course i enver hope whoever is reading this, to go fail in something you're doing. At the same time, i'm not asking you to dream big either. Telling yourself that there is a small chance of failure is not actually letting yourself down. It actually helps you prepare mentally for the worst that could happen so you can bring yourself up in an instant.

3. Community brings power. In the heat of the moment, many may be competitive in respective fields. Whether it be studies, family relationships or financial powers. To me, competition is good, if it is healthy. A group of people who are good in similar fields will actually bring a stellar results or change to the world. The combination of their abilities could be put to great use and power.

In short, dream big, prepare mentally, and always aks for help when you need it. Independance is admirable but fatal at a certain extent.
